Calculate selling price from cost and markup

Enter your cost per unit and a markup percentage to compute a clear selling price using a standard pricing formula. This helps small business owners, ecommerce operators, and sales teams set consistent prices across products without manual math. It is useful when you need quick pricing guidance for quotes, catalogs, or new product launches, while keeping your pricing logic consistent across the team.

Compute gross profit per unit for margin checks

Along with the selling price, the tool calculates gross profit per unit by subtracting cost from the computed price. This supports quick profitability checks when costs change, suppliers update pricing, or you are testing different markup strategies. Finance, operations, and merchandising teams can use it to validate that each item meets profit targets before publishing prices or sending customer proposals.

Price products for ecommerce and retail operations

Use the calculator when building or updating product price lists, especially during seasonal promotions, supplier cost increases, or new SKU onboarding. Ecommerce operators can standardize markups by category, compare outcomes across multiple items, and reduce pricing errors. The output is easy to copy into spreadsheets or product management tools, supporting faster updates to storefronts and internal catalogs.

Create quotes and sales proposals with consistent pricing

Sales teams can apply a chosen markup to unit costs to produce consistent quote pricing and understand profit per unit before sending proposals. This is helpful for distributors, agencies, and service providers that resell goods or bill materials. By using the same calculation method each time, teams reduce back-and-forth approvals and keep pricing aligned with profitability goals across accounts.
