Learn how to clean and standardize contact lists for reliable imports

Upload or paste contact lists to clean

Bring messy contact data into one place by uploading a CSV or XLSX file, or pasting rows as CSV-like or tab-separated text. Contact List Cleaner is built for sales, marketing, recruiting, and operations teams who inherit mixed-format lists from forms, events, vendors, or teammates. It prepares your data for downstream tools by turning inconsistent entries into a structured, reviewable contact table.

Remove duplicates and validate key fields

Clean up duplicates and common formatting issues by normalizing names, lowercasing and validating emails, and standardizing phone numbers toward E.164-style formatting. The tool flags invalid or ambiguous entries for review, so you can avoid bounced emails, mis-dialed numbers, and CRM import errors. When duplicates are found, it keeps the most complete record and records what was merged.

Prepare lists for CRM and outreach workflows

Use the cleaned output to build reliable lead lists for outreach, newsletter tools, or CRM imports. Each row includes a status, issues, and actions taken, making it easy to filter to valid contacts, isolate needs-review records, and audit what changed. This is useful when consolidating contacts from multiple sources before assigning owners, starting sequences, or running enrichment.

Export cleaned contacts in the format your team needs

Download the cleaned list in the same format as the original file, or choose CSV or XLSX depending on your workflow. This supports common handoffs across teams, such as sending a cleaned spreadsheet to sales ops, importing into a CRM, or sharing a review file with stakeholders. Keeping a consistent schema also helps reduce repeated cleanup work each time the list is updated.
