Estimate profit margin to guide pricing

Beyond the profit amount, the tool calculates profit margin as a percentage of the selling price, rounded to two decimals. This helps you compare products with different price points and spot listings that look profitable but have weak margins after shipping, taxes, and fees. It’s useful for sellers running ads, testing new suppliers, or managing multiple SKUs who need a simple way to validate pricing decisions.

Validate product viability before scaling ads

Use the calculator when you’re deciding whether a product can support ad spend and platform fees. By adding “other expenses” like payment processing, packaging, returns allowance, or per-order ad cost, you can model realistic outcomes and avoid scaling a product that only looks profitable on the surface. This is especially helpful for teams doing rapid product research and weekly catalog updates.
